We believe in a holistic approach to pregnancy based on best-practices;
free of unnecessary stress.  Your baby has the ability to grow and
develop better, if you are as stress-free as possible; during your
pregnancy and after.  Personal, confidential Home Visits and social
support, have been shown reduce prematurity and increase birth
weight; which are both part of our programs. We also focus on Stress
Management for this reason.  We offer the most comprehensive and
continuous care and support; which have been proven to improve birth
outcomes and are personalized to your individual needs within the
structure of our program. Our Home Visitors have specialized training in
Nursing, Midwifery, Natural Childbirth Education, Breastfeeding, Labor &
Delivery, Antepartum, Birth and Postpartum Doula Experience,
Postpartum Care, Infant Massage, Human Services, Pediatrics,
Substance Abuse issues, VBACs, Optimal Fetal Positioning, Nutrition
and much more...
It is our goal for you to have a healthy baby and develop your knowledge,
skills and resources to be able to provide the best for you and your

Some of the Clinics, HMO's and other programs also offer BASIC PNCC
services, or may have staff that call themselves a "Doula".  Your
BadgerCare insurance regulations specifically allow you to use PNCC
services outside of those of your medical provider, HMO or other
program.  We offer more comprehensive, personalized care, in your
home; and services with an emphasis on continuity of care, because we
are an Enhanced PNCC Program. If you are already in another program,

Pregnant women of all ages, including Teen Moms
living in Milwaukee's Southside and Northside
Communities, are eligible to receive:
Home Visits, Phone Support, Pregnancy, Childbirth
and Parenting Education "Baby Classes", Pregnancy
Resources and other services. Services should be
started as soon as you have a positive pregnancy test,
or need to schedule one.

What do we do?
Beginning with Pregnancy, until your child is
7 years old, we are here to provide support for you to
help you to be the best parent you can be.
REGISTER FOR OUR PROGRAM AS SOON AS YOU FIND OUT YOU ARE
PREGNANT OR NEED TO SCHEDULE A PERSONAL PREGNANCY TEST.

We start by providing you with a free, personal, in-home
pregnancy test.
Then we help you to plan your new future for you and
your baby.  That includes referring you to our Midwife, or a Midwife or Doctor (OB) in
the community;, helping you get the things
that you need for your baby; through our Baby Credits Rewards Program and other
resources; as well as help with housing, school
jobs, financial assistance and child care options (Prenatal Care Coordintion and
Postpartum/Pediatric Care Coordination; which are also known as Case Management).

We do a detailed assessment of your previous pregnancy experience(s)
to help you have an easier, safer birth.
We also help you to learn how to manage stress; because stress
affects your baby.  Helping you to eat healthy, learn what to
expect during labor and delivery, and what choices you
have for your birth are also part of our support.  Our childbirth classes are based on
the Lamaze classes taught in the hospitals, but are more in depth and are free to you.

Our support doesn't stop there.  We also provide
Labor and Delivery Support from a Monitrice or Professional Birth Doula; FROM THE
START OF LABOR AT HOME, UNTIL AFTER YOUR BIRTH IN THE HOSPITAL; to support
you/your partner and other support people when you are having your baby.
Moms, Dads and Grandmas like this extra support and feel
more comfortable interacting with the hospital staff.
Having a Monitrice or Professional Birth Doula provide services to you during
birth can shorten labor, reduce the need for interventions that can affect you and
your baby; reduce the chance of postpartum depression and is proven to be best
practice.
Moms with medical risks, will be seen by one of our Nursing Care Coordinators, and
may be eligible to receive Antepartum Doula services with us.

We continue to support and nurture YOU when you come home from the hospital with
your new baby; providing Postpartum Doula Services (Not to be confused with  Baby
Nurses; who only care for the BABY) within the first few days you are home; to help
you rest and bond with your baby.
We also continue to help you work on your plan for
your future and your ongoing development of your parenting skills.
Even if you have had a baby before, you don't know,
what you don't know.  Register for our program now to
give the best to your baby.
